He will share with you how to maximize the use of basic and advanced features of the widely popular Zoom app such as creating breakout rooms for group work, sharing desktops and screens, annotating student work, playing videos and music, polling students, and many more!
Beyond Zoom, he will introduce you to essential web-based resources and free online tools to supplement your engagement and show you how to integrate these to the widely used learning management systems like Moodle and Canvas.
Those who attend this session are eligible to enrol in Dr. Jay’s masterclass on the same topic where participants will be immersed in a 3-hour workshop for a deep dive interactive approach to learning.
COURSE DIRECTOR and LECTURER:
Both in the classroom and online, Dr. Jay Gonzalez thrives in unleashing student-centered, outcome-based learning and innovative thinking. He received four Teaching Excellence Awards at all the three universities where he has taught —National University of Singapore, University of San Francisco, and Golden Gate University. He is a prolific author having written 20 books and a record holder of five Research Excellence awards.
Dr. Gonzalez is a department chairperson and Mayor George Christopher Professor of Public Administration at the Edward S. Ageno School of Business of the Golden Gate University (GGU) in California – the school that is ranked # 1 for adult learners in the United States for four consecutive years.
Since 1998, GGU has led in online and distance learning environment with majority of its teachers equipped with the skills and mastery of the pedagogy.
